October 2025
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

What a wild month! September is always a busy month for us at Platform since every Saturday, students come together for Activism@Work. We had a solid group of 18+ students, 8 facilitators, and 2 co-leaders. For the first time since I started Platform, I felt that the leaders could take over the program, allowing me to further develop the organization. There is joy and also some melancholy at the realization that our leaders have matured and are ready to be on their own. I guess this is a little like what parents feel when their children grow up. It could not have come at a better time as we look forward to expanding Platform.

Not only did we have Activism@Work, we also held our first ever fundraiser at Lady Justice Brewing. Our board member, Kristen Payne, organized this wonderful fundraiser with Betsy Lay, the co-founder and owner of Lady Justice Brewing. Lady Justice generously dedicated donations from the month of September to Platform. I don’t know how much we raised but I am a firm believer that anything and everything helps us run our programs at Platform. So we are very grateful.
As we end our Activism@Work program, we now turn to Aurora Rising, a multimedia revi-zine project. Tsion and Ariel will be heading up the project for which we will select 5 candidates. We will connect them to mentors, resources, and whatever they may need to create the revi-zine.
Much is going on and so we will need your continued support!
