Who We Are

Platform is a nonprofit organization (501c3) that actualizes social justice by developing the leadership of our youth and women in the city of Aurora and surrounding areas.

Platform envisions a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive society in which youth and women become impactful platforms for our under-represented communities.

Platform creates daring spaces for youth and women to explore the power of their intersecting identities and experiences, grow into their values, faith, and strengths to benefit our communities, and live into their visions of belonging.

Qualifications

• BIPOC or any under-represented group

• Based in or familiar with the community in Aurora, CO

• Reliable and fully aware of the responsibilities/duties of being a board member

• Committed to being a board member for at least 3 years

Expectations for Board Member

• Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in biannual meetings 

• Serve as advocate and ambassador for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing financial resources and partnerships

• Fundraise and/or donate $50-$300 (based on a sliding scale)

• Volunteer 1-2 hours a week/month (depends on the skills and availability of the candidate)

• Attend workshop, site visits, dinners, potluck, and gatherings (optional but highly appreciated)
